Christmas Take Home Gifts: Picks That Are Thoughtful and Portable
Christmas Take Home Gifts That Are Thoughtful and Portable
A take home gift is the gift you give guests at a Christmas gathering. It should be quality, portable, and universally appealing. The default take home gifts are candy canes and mini ornaments, which are generic and forgettable. The trick is finding something that is small enough to take home and quality enough to remember.
Christmas take home gifts should be quality small items that are portable and universally appealing. The best take home gifts are quality consumables, small useful items, or small keepsakes that are not generic.
The short answer: the best Christmas take home gifts are quality consumables, small useful items, or small keepsakes. A Capri Blue Volcano candle in the petite jar is a quality consumable that is portable and universally appealing.
Quality Consumables
A small candle, a bar of craft chocolate, or a bag of quality coffee. These are take home gifts that everyone wants because they are quality treats. They are portable, do not create clutter, and feel like a real gift.
The advantage: consumables are safe, portable, and universally appealing. The disadvantage: they are temporary. But for a take home gift, temporary is fine.
Small Useful Items
A quality pen, a nice pair of socks, or a small everyday item that is a step up from the basic version. These are take home gifts that get used and that feel quality even at a small size.
The advantage: useful items get used. The disadvantage: they can feel impersonal if poorly chosen.
Small Keepsakes
A small ornament, a custom tag, or a small item that marks the occasion. These are take home gifts that are keepsakes. The key is picking something that is quality and not generic. A cheap ornament from the dollar store is not a keepsake. A quality small item is.
The advantage: keepsakes mark the occasion. The disadvantage: they can feel generic if poorly chosen.
